Bullying can take serveral forms: hurting others physically, spreading bad rumors, teasing or ganging up on others.

Cyberbullying is:
· Sending mean text, email or instant messages
· Posting mean or nasty pictures about others
· Using someone else's user name to spread rumors

What can parents do?
· Talk to your children about what they are doing online.
· Let them know that cyberbullying can occur on a computer or phone.
· Encourage your children to talk to you if they or someone else is being bullied.
· Explain that they won't get their electronic equipment taken away if they share this information with you.
· Be clear that cyberbullyig is wrong and they can help by simply not forwarding any mean texts or pictures.

As adults we must help kids learn how to use these powerful communcation tools wisely!
